This location is pretty much your one stop shop for year round outdoor activity! Summer boating, fall colors, winter snowshoeing, and spring waterfalls offer a little something for everyone.
Located near Pollock Pines, California, the Jenkinson Lake Loop Trail boasts a 9.1 mile loop that is heavily trafficked. The trail is rated as moderate and features a gorgeous lake. You can tackle this loop on horseback, mountain bike, or your own two feet. It is also dog friendly!
If you are going to complete the entire journey then be ready for an invigorating hike. The trail will challenge you with continuous ups and downs. The total elevation change is not significant enough to make mention of, but the inclines and declines will definitely leave you sore the next day.
Have lunch at the Park Creek Waterfall area and spend the rest of afternoon walking around the lake to enjoy a natural beauty filled with wild animals, flowers and tall pine trees.
Jenkinson Lake at Sly Park offers year round outdoor activities. There is more to do than one person can handle in a single day, but the hike might just be all you need. Lace up your hiking boots, pack your favorite bottle of 1850, and don’t forget the corkscrew!
The Park Fee is $5 for walk in use and $15 for vehicle day use.
