We find our sangrias tend to get better and better as they macerate for a number of days in the refrigerator, so this is a recipe that can be made ahead, and doesn't need to be consumed all in one day. Not that there's any problem with that.
Ingredients
  • 2 bottles 1850 Wine Cellars GSM Red Wine
  • 2 cups strawberries
  • 2 cups peaches
  • 1/4 cup simple syrup
  • 2 shots peach schnapps or brandy, optional

Directions
Clean and slice the fruit into bite sized chunks and put into a large pitcher.

Add remaining ingredients to the pitcher.

Let macerate several hours (basically just wait a while).

For serving, fill a glass 1/2 full with ice, and pour Sangria to the top of the ice, and add a spoonful of fruit.

Top with sparkling wine and serve!
